Hello Resident, Happy New Year from the Burbage beat team. Below is our monthly newsletter with new priorities for the next few months. Attached is the crime reduction catalogue, drop us an email if you would like further information. Darren.stretton@leics.police.uk During December, crime such as residential burglary and vehicle theft reduced on previous months, although we did still have 2 reports of Kia Sportage's stolen and a couple of other cars taken. One suspect was arrested. We had one residential burglary but several incidents from industrial estates/building sites where units and vehicles were targeted. Other issues include shoplifting, assaults and theft of bicycles from sheds towards the end of December. Throughout December, work such as arrests, home and vehicle searches, stop checks, and vehicles being seized were completed, as well as other local work including CCTV checks, victim support, crime reduction support for Burbage residents, attending community events and targeted patrols. As we head into 2026, we will continue to provide regular updates and provide timely and relevant information as to what is going on in Burbage. Hopefully, raising awareness will help towards reducing crime. Crime figures for Burbage were really positive up until October, so we will be doing what we can to target potential crime and support residents in 2026.
